De Private Equity & Venture Capital commissie heeft als doel nuttige content en netwerkmogelijkheden te bieden voor leden in de Private Equity en Venture Capital sector.

De commissieleden komen vijf a zes maal per jaar bij elkaar, meestal virtueel. Daarbij wordt van commissieleden verwacht dat zij bijdragen aan de organisatie van bijeenkomsten en/of publicaties. Momenteel bestaat de commissie uit 7 leden en staan wij open voor nieuwe commissieleden.

De risico management commissie bestaat uit een goede mix van risicoprofessionals, met 10 mannen/vrouwen die werkzaam zijn bij verschillende financiële instellingen (d.w.z. bankwezen, verzekeringen, vermogensbeheer, pensioenfondsen) op allerlei risicogerelateerde onderwerpen (bijv. operationeel risico, marktrisico, beleggingsrisico, verzekeringsrisico, gedragsrisico) en allemaal met dezelfde mindset en doelen: het bespreken van de belangrijkste onderwerpen op het gebied van risicomanagement, en bereid zijn om onze expertise, netwerk en meningen te delen met leden van CFA Society Netherlands en de bredere beleggingsgroep. En we zijn op zoek naar meer risicoprofessionals om deel uit te maken van onze commissie, dus sluit je aan bij ons geweldige team en deel je gedachten en meningen met de vereniging.

Over ons: De DEI (Diversiteit, Gelijkheid & Inclusie) commissie is op vrijwillige basis opgericht onder de paraplu van CFA Society Netherlands. Wij stimuleren inclusie en diversiteit op elk niveau in de beleggingsbeheersector door verschillende groepen mensen op te nemen, zoals, maar niet beperkt tot, mensen met verschillende rassen, etniciteiten, nationaliteiten, religies, capaciteiten, genders en seksuele voorkeuren. We zijn voortdurend bezig met het plannen van inspirerende evenementen en initiatieven en daarom zijn we op zoek naar nieuwe leden om zich bij onze commissie aan te sluiten en ons te helpen onze doelen te realiseren.
Waar zijn we naar op zoek? Het belangrijkste voor ons is jouw energie! We zoeken mensen die willen bijdragen aan één van de volgende gebieden: evenementenorganisatie, marketing, samenwerkingen met bedrijven binnen en buiten de financiële sector, en met universiteiten.
Wat krijg ik er voor terug? We zijn natuurlijk een vrijwilligerscommissie, maar het biedt wel veel kansen om snel impact te maken en contact te leggen met gelijkgestemde professionals die jouw passie voor DEI delen.
Op dit moment bestaat de commissie uit vier actieve leden en staan we open voor nieuwe leden. De commissie hanteert een hybride werkwijze: tweewekelijkse online bijeenkomsten en fysieke bijeenkomsten op flexibele basis. The Ethics & Integrity Committee is aiming to increase the visibility and access to interesting and relevant ethics & integrity related information. By volunteering for this committee you will join a diverse group of people with various types of backgrounds within the financial sector.

In return for your time and energy, you will be able to increase your network and have the opportunity to make a difference within the financial sector. The committee members meet approximately 4-5 times per year, both virtual and face to face. At the moment the committee consists of 6 active members, and we're open to new members. De nieuw opgerichte Applied AI Werkgroep heeft als doel het kennisniveau over kunstmatige intelligentie (AI) binnen CFA Society Netherlands te verhogen door middel van reguliere bijeenkomsten, publicaties en het organiseren van evenementen. De focus ligt op de praktische toepassingen van AI (applied AI) binnen de financiële sector, waaronder banken, vermogensbeheerders en assetmanagers, en beslaat het perspectief van zowel de back-office als de front-office.
De Werkgroep is op zoek naar aanvullende leden, streeft naar diversiteit onder haar leden en verwelkomt zowel specialisten als generalisten op het gebied van AI-interesses en ervaring. Als je geïnteresseerd bent om deel te nemen aan de Werkgroep, geef dan je interesse aan via info@cfasociety.nl.

Looking for a way to give back to your community and help aspiring finance professionals achieve their goals? Join us as a Students and Candidates Coordinator, allowing you the opportunity to visit universities and act as a guest lecturer, speaking about the benefits of our educational programs, among which the CFA Program, and student activities such as the Research Challenge and Quant Awards. You'll also help the staffed office to organize events and benefits for candidates, providing them with the support they need to succeed. This position can be filled by one or more people.

The Investment Performance Measurement Committee acts as platform for discussion and development of investment performance measurement within the Netherlands. In this context, performance measurement is not limited to the calculations of returns; the attribution of returns to its underlying drivers and the analysis of investment risks are also in scope.
The committee is the official Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) sponsor for the Netherlands, and as such responsible for the development, implementation and acceptance of GIPS within the Dutch market. The GIPS standards are continuously developed and extended as a result of industry demands. The IPM committee is involved in these initiatives and provides feedback to the global GIPS organisation from the perspective of the Dutch market. Besides the work as national GIPS sponsor, the committee organises initiatives that contribute to further knowledge and understanding of performance measurement within the Dutch asset management market. On an annual basis, we organise the ‘Dutch roundtable on performance measurement’, in which external speakers and commission members present and discuss a variety of topics related to performance measurement. Furthermore, we publish articles in the VBA magazine and contribute to educational programs for pension fund board members.
The committee has one meeting every month, organised as a physical meeting one month (office location hosted by our members) followed by a virtual meeting (MS Teams) in the other month.
The committee currently consists of representatives from various parties in the market: asset managers, software vendors, GIPS verifiers (accountants) and consultants. This contributes to a balanced discussion and development of the standards.
At the moment the committee consists of 6 active members, and we're open to new members.

De commissie Behavioral Economics houdt zich bezig met het scheidsvlak tussen economie en psychologie. In de (financiële) wereld worden we dagelijks geconfronteerd worden met hebzucht, angst, zelfoverschatting en kuddegedrag. Dat beleggers daarin altijd rationele beslissingen nemen, lijkt dan ook hoogst onzeker.
De commissie verdiept zich in dit gebied van de economie en probeert haar kennis te vergroten en deze uit te dragen middels bijeenkomsten en artikelen. De commissie vergadert elke 2 maanden en bespreekt daarin recente artikelen, nodigt interessante sprekers uit en discussieert over hoe behavioral economics beter onder het voetlicht gebracht kan worden.
